Terms of service
The agreement between your organisation and Cloudcast Systems for using Tablecast.
Last updated 26 August 2026
The agreement
These terms are between Cloudcast Systems Pty Ltd (ABN registered in Australia) and the organisation whose people use Tablecast. By creating an organisation, or by using Tablecast on behalf of one, you accept them on that organisation's behalf and confirm you are authorised to do so.
Early access
Tablecast is in early access. That is a description of the arrangement, not a disclaimer for its own sake, and it means three specific things:
- Features change, sometimes quickly. We will not remove something you depend on without telling you.
- Pricing is provisional and will change before general availability. We will give at least 30 days' notice before a change affects what you pay, and it will not apply mid-cycle.
- There is no uptime commitment yet. We run the service carefully and publish incidents, but an SLA is something we will offer when we can stand behind it.
Your recordings stay yours
Everything your organisation creates in Tablecast — recordings, transcripts, programme renders, notes, whiteboards, scripts and clips — remains your property. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to use it beyond what running the service requires: storing it, moving it between the components that process it, transcoding it, and showing it to the people you have given access.
We do not use your recordings to train machine-learning models, and we will not start doing so silently. If that ever changes it will be a separate, opt-in decision put to you directly.
You are responsible for having the right to record the people in your sessions, including any consent or notice the law where they are sitting requires. Tablecast shows a recording indicator to every participant, but recording law is your obligation and not something a red dot discharges.
Acceptable use
Do not use Tablecast to:
- record or broadcast anyone without the consent the law requires;
- publish material that is unlawful, defamatory, or that infringes somebody else's copyright;
- harass, threaten or endanger anybody;
- attempt to breach the service's security, access another organisation's data, or probe the system outside a disclosure we have agreed with you in advance;
- resell or white-label the service without a written agreement;
- circumvent metering, or use automation to consume resources in a way a person plainly could not.
We would rather email you about a problem than suspend an account, and that is what we will do unless the situation is urgent, dangerous or unlawful.
Accounts and access
You are responsible for who you admit to your organisation and for what you let them do. Roles and permissions are yours to set. Keep credentials secure and tell us promptly if you think an account has been compromised.
Guests joining a session hold a short-lived token scoped to that session and nothing else. They are not members of your organisation and cannot see anything beyond the session they were invited to.
Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance for the plan fee and in arrears for metered usage, which is measured in show-hours. Self-serve plans are charged to a card through Stripe. Organisations billed on account are invoiced through Xero on the payment terms we have agreed, ordinarily against a purchase order.
- Prices are exclusive of GST, which is added where it applies.
- You may cancel at any time; the plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew.
- We do not refund part-periods, but if something goes wrong on our side, tell us and we will make it right.
- An invoice significantly overdue may put an organisation into a read-only state — the recordings stay, and nothing is deleted for non-payment without written notice first.
Availability and support
We aim to keep Tablecast running continuously and to schedule disruptive maintenance outside Australian business hours. During early access there is no contractual uptime target. Support is by email at support@tablecast.studio; enterprise agreements may set response times in writing.
Ending it
You may close your organisation whenever you like. Before you do, export what you want to keep — the app will export recordings, transcripts and captions. After closure we retain your material for 30 days so that an accidental deletion can be undone, then delete it, except where we are legally required to keep billing records.
We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of the acceptable-use section, or for non-payment after notice. Except where the law or safety prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to retrieve your material.
Warranties and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded by agreement. Subject to that: the service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law implies; and our aggregate liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.
Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss. We specifically do not accept liability for a recording that was never uploaded from a participant's own device, which is why the product goes to some trouble to tell you, during the session, when a track has not verified.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Both parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
