Early access
Every show deserves a control room.
Tablecast is the whole video-podcast workflow in one browser tab: plan the episode, cut it live on a real switcher, keep a broadcast-quality master on every participant's own disk, and edit it without exporting anything.
No card to start. Your guests join from a link — no account, nothing to install.

01The problem
Podcasts became television. The tooling didn't.
Your audience moved to video in three years. Your budget didn't move with it, and there is no version of a broadcast control room that fits a team of four.
3.6×
what the video version costs. US$1,267 a month against US$388 for audio — the same show, the same guests, three and a half times the bill.
82%
of weekly podcast consumers now watch. Three years ago, 89% of them were audio-only. The format inverted, and the tools stayed where they were.
76%
of podcast production agencies have fewer than ten people. A gallery needs a director, a vision mixer and an audio operator. Nobody has three spare people.
So teams buy five subscriptions instead — plan in one, record in another, stream from a third, edit in a fourth, clip in a fifth. That is US$150–250 a month before anyone is paid, and the media is exported and re-imported four times. Every hand-off strips what the next tool needed: the per-speaker stems, the speaker-attributed transcript, the framing. The bottleneck was never demand. It is that professional production still assumes a crew.

02The workflow
Four acts, one session, no exports in between.
The run-sheet you wrote on Tuesday is the script the prompter reads on Thursday. The take you cut live is the timeline you open on Friday. Nothing is uploaded to itself along the way.
01
Plan
Meet before you are live. A planning room where producers and guests actually meet — video tiles, no take button, nothing armed and nothing recording. Beside it, an infinite whiteboard and a run-sheet the whole team types in at once.
- Planning room
- Infinite whiteboard
- Show notes & run-sheet
- Collaborative script
- Invites by link, QR or an eight-character code
02
Produce
A vision mixer, in a tab. Preview and program, scenes on 1–9, T to take. Lower-thirds and full-frames, media playback, an audio desk with ducking and mix-minus, a talkback matrix, and silent cues that land on one guest's screen without going to air.
- Scenes, dissolves & wipes
- Multiview with tally
- Talkback matrix & IFB
- Audio desk, ducking, mix-minus
- Lower-thirds & graphics
- Silent cues
- RØDECaster & Stream Deck control
03
Record
The master never depends on the uplink. Everyone records their own camera and microphone locally while the show runs. Each track is hashed, uploaded in parts that resume through a dropped connection, and verified server-side — and the session will not let you call it finished with an unverified track unless you say, in writing, why.
- Per-participant ISO tracks
- 4K on iPhone, lossless audio
- Integrity dashboard
- Clock drift & dropped-frame warnings
- Uploads that resume after a crash
04
Deliver
Live out now, cut this afternoon. Stream to YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitch or any RTMP or SRT endpoint while you record. Afterwards, edit by deleting words from the transcript, pull vertical clips that reframe themselves onto whoever is speaking, and export captions or a rendered master.
- RTMP, SRT & HLS
- Signed embed for your own page
- Transcript editor
- Vertical clips with auto-reframe
- SRT & WebVTT captions
- Server-rendered masters
03Cameras
The best camera in the room is already in a pocket.
The Tablecast app turns an iPhone into a camera on your show. It joins in one scan, records 4K to its own disk while it streams a preview to the control room, and takes its picture settings from the producer.
- Joins in one scan. A QR code, a tablecast:// link, or eight characters typed off a printed card. No account, nothing to configure, and the join survives the app being killed and reopened.
- Records where it stands. 4K locally, with its own integrity manifest and a clock synced to the session — so the phone's master is as good as the room, not as good as the room's Wi-Fi.
- The producer keeps the picture. Exposure, white balance, focus and zoom lock from the control room, and re-apply themselves after every stop. Nobody has to talk a guest through their camera app.
- Or a prompter instead. The same invite with a different role opens the script rather than the camera — no lens, no microphone, screen kept awake.
iOS, on TestFlight today — ask us and we'll add you to the build. There is no Android app yet, and we would rather tell you that than show you a store badge that doesn't work.
04Live
The output a broadcaster will actually accept.
78% of broadcast professionals use SRT, up from 47% in 2020, and remote production has been their number-one priority four years running. Not one creator-tier studio product outputs SRT. This one does.
- RTMP(S)YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitch, Facebook, X, Kick, or any endpoint you paste in. Several at once.
- SRTCaller or listener, your own latency and passphrase. The transport station engineering asks for by name.
- HLSServed by Tablecast, with a DVR window, for a player you don't control.
- EmbedA signed, subscribe-only program window for a partner's page. No roster, no chat, no controls.
Destinations that share an encoding preset share one encode, so a second platform costs bandwidth rather than a second machine. And all of it runs while every participant is still writing their own master to their own disk.

05Pricing
Priced against the live band, not the recorder band.
Recording tools run US$16–40 a month. Live production with multiview, talkback and SRT runs US$239–499. Tablecast is one product that does both — and while it is in early access, it sits between them.

06Fit
Worth being specific about who this is for.
Built for you if
- You make a video show with two to eight people, most of them somewhere else.
- You have outgrown record-and-hope — somebody needs to be directing while it happens.
- You keep moving the same media between a recorder, a switcher and an editor.
- Somebody in your organisation needs SSO, a purchase order and an answer about where the files live.
Not yet, if
- You need an Android camera app. The phone app is iOS only today.
- You want the AI to run the show. Ours proposes cuts and a person applies them.
- You are a solo audio podcaster — a $16 recorder is the right tool, and we will say so.
- You need SDI in the room or an on-premises install. This is a browser and a cloud.
